What Was That Song?
I heard this song playing in a a shop. The lyrics shown below are lyrics I might've heard, yet they may not be correct. Note that the word "don't" could possibly have not been there.|
"Don't cheat my love like a swaying door."
"Don't treat my love like a swaying door."
"Don't cheat my love like a swinging door."
"Don't treat my love like a swinging door."
"Don't love me like a swaying door."
"Don't Love me like a swinging door."
I'm pretty sure it was a woman singing, and the lyrics were definitely said more than once. The genre was somewhere along the lines of Rock, folk rock, country or pop. It sounded fairly modern, but i don't really know. It could've been as old as the 1980s. It wasn't a mainstream song. I type the lyrics on google, but the wrong songs keep coming up. It wasn't the song "Swingin' Door" by Catherine Britt or "Swinging Doors" by Merle Haggard. I tried Midomi, but that doesn't recognise it. Remember that the lyrics I wrote may not be correct, so if anyone knows a song, as described above where the lyrics sound something like the ones I wrote, that would be great if you could share.
